I can't believe we are already half-way through August! It's crazy how time flies! I'm back to work now so I've got to work even harder to keep up with my goals! I just wanted to check-in to keep myself accountable!
Fitness Goals:
-Turbo Fire. I've kept up with this every day no matter what. Some days I really don't want to do it but I did it anyway. For the next two weeks, I want to step up the intensity and make each work out count!
-10,000 Steps per day. I've done this too. It's not always easy. Yesterday I only had 2,000 steps by like 10pm. No bueno! So I went out and walked a mile and a half and then walked around the house until I got all those steps in!
Health Goals:
-Drink Shakeology everyday! I've done this and don't plan on stopping! I love Shakeology!
-Drink 64oz or more of water everyday! I'm drinking a lot of water but not keeping track of it everyday. I need to be better about this one!
How are your goals for the month going for you? Any you need to refocus on?

Week 1 of Turbo Fire
Sunday marked my 7th day of Turbo Fire. I'm proud to say that I did all the workouts everyday! They are by no means easy for me though! I struggle through them because I am out of shape. I hope that by the end of this program, I will be in better shape and can go through the workouts without stopping. Another thing I am having trouble with is the choreography. One class I've done three times per the schedule and the repeat times were definitely easier. I've done the stretch class almost everyday and have that pretty much down, so it has gotten a little boring.
Here is a recap of Week 1:
Here is a recap of Week 1:
August 4th - I walked 2 miles - one in the morning and the evening. Not sure what was up with the fitbit calorie adjustment on this one.
The HIIT 15 class is crazy intense, but it's only 15 minutes! I also did an hour walking video on youtube to get my steps in! It's sooo hot in Texas right now :\
Today was rest day for Turbo Fire. I walked 1.5 miles in the morning and then a mile on the treadmill later in the evening to get my steps in!
Back to the Turbo Fire schedule! It's the first repeat class, so it was easier for me!
A LONG class today! Just seeing the 55 made me dread this workout! I got a great burn though! No walking today! I cleaned the house and got things ready for Bobby's party, so I got my steps in just from my workout and walking around the house like a mad woman!
Another repeat class but it was good for a Saturday that was jam-packed! Again, no walking due to running around and getting ready for the party!
This was probably my least favorite workouts. Not sure if it was because I was super tired from staying up way too late or what. I don't really like yoga so the stretching/yoga for 40 minutes was really boring to me! Hopefully it will grow on me! The core workout didn't seem too bad but I definitely woke up sore this morning!
Calories burned: 4,000
Total minutes: 469

Shakeology Recipe of the Week
I'm going to implement a new series on my blog on Wednesdays, as that is rest day from Turbo Fire, so I will have more time in the mornings to try this out.
Each week I will bring you a new Shakeology Recipe that I've tried and let you know what I think!
This week I started with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup recipe that I found on Pinterest (of course).
Overall, this was a delicious shake! I wouldn't drink this every day due to the honey amount. It's a lot of sweetness and calories added. I could limit the amount of honey though, which might work! PB2 is a dry form of peanut butter, which reduces the calories significantly! For comparison, a typical serving of conventional peanut butter is anywhere from 120-200 calories depending on what you buy. PB2 is 45 calories for 2 tbsp! That alone is amazing. This is the first time I've tried it, so I haven't tried mixing it with water to make a peanut butter product, but I will let you know as soon as I do!
The shake didn't taste exactly like a Reese's PB cup but it was still delicious!
Alright, I want to get your input on what I should try next week! I found a few on pinterest that sound great! Leave a comment with your vote!
1. Thin Mint
2. Somoa Cookie
3. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
(My shakeology recipes will be chocolate focused as that is the kind I have right now. I'll be looking into the different flavors when I try them out in the future.)
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to vote to what you want to see next week!
